Hot August Nights On Tap At Spokane County Raceway This Weekend

Hot August Nights gets into full swing Saturday at Spokane County Raceway. Featuring Jet Cars, Pro Mods and the Summit Racing Series, drag racing fans are in for a real treat this weekend.

Saturday, August 28th, NAPA Auto Parts presents HOT AUGUST NIGHTS at Spokane County
Raceway….featured will be the West Coast Pro Mod Association and 6 Jet Car show. Spokane
County Raceway, with its 700 ft concrete pad offers a smooth, fast racing surface providing teams
with the opportunity to set personal bests which is also sets the stage for possibly some of the
year’s best pro modified performances. These cars cover the quarter mile in six seconds at over 235
mph.

The WCPMA entry list for this event is strong and will include:
Denver Colorado’s Tommy Johans with his trusted blown ‘53 Corvette; Nitrous entry Ross
Hogenson from Lethbridge, Alberta and his Corvette, WCPM’s 3x Champion Joe Delehay with his 68
blown Camaro from Calgary, 2008 Champion Regina’s Dan Voght, Calgary’s Tom Mehedan, Kelowna
BC’s Keith Korecki with his hot Ford Mustang, Lethbridges Wayne Hofer also wheels a 63 Nitrous
oxide injected Corvette, and Drayton Valley Alberta’s Perry Thyr has a wild looking nitrous oxide
injected Z-28 Camaro .

Gates open at 3pm; Bracket Racing by 4pm. First of three rounds of Pro Mods begins at 7:30,
followed by fan favorite JET CARS and wheelstanders. This is a must see show as this is the last of
the Major Drag Racing events for 2010 and the final points race for the NHRA Summit ET Bracket
Series.
