Brad Keselowski wins rain-shortened Nationwide race at Kentucky

The win was by no means a fluke, because as the race progressed, Brad Keselowski's car identified itself as the clear class of the field. He took the lead for good on Lap 156, seven laps before NASCAR called the final caution for rain.

Late surge gives Ty Dillon Truck Series win at Kentucky

Ty Dillon crossed the finish line 5.736 seconds ahead of Brad Keselowski to win Thursday night's UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway. Busch ran third, followed by reigning series champion James Buescher and Ryan Blaney.

Force defeats Force for New England NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car victory

Courtney Force earned her second victory in 2013 and third in her career, improving her overall record against her father, a 15-time Funny Car world champion, to 4-2. It was their first meeting in the finals. Courtney Force, who lost to John in the first round at Bristol Dragway last weekend, outran Alexis DeJoria, Tim Wilkerson and defending Funny Car world champion Jack Beckman to reach the championship round.

Martin Truex Jr. snaps 218-race losing streak with Sonoma win

It was just the second win of Truex's career, his first since Dover in 2007. It put Michael Waltrip Racing in Victory Lane for the second year in a row after Clint Bowyer won here last season.

Allmendinger wins NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Road America

It was A.J. Allmendinger's first start in a Nationwide Series race since 2008. But he's no stranger to victory lane at the 4-mile Road America road course, having won there in the now-defunct Champ Car World Series in 2006.

Regan Smith wins the Alliance Truck Parts 250

Regan Smith, the Nationwide points leader, held off the fast-closing Kyle Larson to win by 0.330 seconds or about five car lengths. Smith was aided by Greg Ives from Bark River, Mich. who made the crucial calls in the middle of the race. It was Smith's second victory of the year, both times starting from 20th after poor qualifying attempts.

Edwards earns 50th No. 1 qualifying position of his NHRA career

With warmer weather conditions for Saturday’s two qualifying sessions, no one improved on Mike Edwards’ Friday run of 6.632 seconds at a track record speed of 208.23 mph in his Interstate Batteries/I Am Second Chevy Camaro. Edwards has dominated the Pro Stock competition at Bristol in the last four seasons. He defeated hometown favorite Allen Johnson last year in a close final round and outran finalists Erica Enders-Stevens in 2011, Rickie Jones in 2010 and Greg Anderson in 2009.

Worsham posts career run in NHRA first round qualifying at Thunder Valley

Del Worsham powered his 8,000-horsepower DHL Toyota Camry to a run of 4.008 seconds at 314.83 mph to move to the top of the Funny Car qualifying field at Thunder Valley. If the time holds, it would be Worsham’s first No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car since April 2010, sixth overall in Funny Car and 13th in his career.

Edwards wins pole as 13 drivers average 200 MPH in Quicken Loans qualifying

It wasn't a track record but it was more than fastest enough to push aside Kurt Busch (201.879 mph) and Kasey Kahne (201.213 mph), his two closest competitors. It was the 12th career pole for Carl Edwards in his 316 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series invades Thunder Valley

Tony Schumacher and all the stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will be in search of victory at the 10th of 24 events in the 2013 season. Self Earns Third-Straight West Win And Takes Over Points Lead

Self Takes NASCAR K&N Pro Series Win At Iowa

A late caution pushed the scheduled 150-lap event to 159 laps. On each restart, however, Michael Self was able to power away, leaving Dylan Kwasniewski and early race-leader Brett Moffitt to battle for second. Kwasniewski wound up claiming the runner-up spot over Moffitt. As the top finishing East driver, Kwasniewski was credited with a win in the series standings.

Langdon defeats teammate for NHRA Top Fuel victory in Englishtown

Shawn Langdon powered his Al-Anabi Racing dragster to his first Englishtown win with a performance of 3.853 seconds at 316.38 mph to hold off his Al-Anabi Racing teammate Khalid alBalooshi, who ran at 3.869 seconds at 297.29 mph in the final round. This was the first time the two Al-Anabi drivers raced in the final round. With the victory, Langdon takes the points lead away from U.S. Army dragster driver Tony Schumacher.

Pit strategy propels Joey Logano to third straight victory at Dover

Joey Logano trailed race leader Kyle Busch by five seconds with 40 laps left, but a two-tire under the fifth and final caution got Logano out front for a restart with 34 laps left, while a four-tire choice on the same pit stop buried Kyle Busch in traffic and changed the course of the race.

Kyle Busch pulls away for third Truck Series win at Dover

The victory was owner/driver Kyle Busch's second of the season, his second win in a row, his third at Dover and the 32nd of his career.
