Thorn nabs third career victory as he takes the NASCAR K&N Pro Series G-Oil 150

Although Derek Thorn paced the entire event, he faced continual challenges from Cameron Hayley, who started from the pole position. Thorn wrestled the lead from Hayley at the drop of the initial green and then held him off following numerous restarts.

Thorn wins NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race in New Mexico, Havens seventh

Derek Thorn, out of Lakeport, Calif., started from the seventh position and charged to the front after Dylan Kwasniewski, who earned the pole position earlier in the day, set a blistering pace in the early going. Thorn, who collected his second win of the season, had built a more than seven-second lead on Lap 120, but had to hold off rookie Dallas Montes and Eric Holmes on a green-white-checkered finish after a late caution.

Thorn wins NACAR K&N Pro Series West event; Havens nets 8th

Derek Thorn, who recorded his first career Coors Light Pole Award earlier in the day, waged a race-long, back-and-forth battle with Dylan Kwasniewski before charging ahead for the win in the closing laps of the Toyota/NAPA 150 presented by Gene Price Motorsports.


Spokane native, Braeden Havens, captured an 8th place finish en route to the Coca-Cola Move of the Race award.
