Inland Northwest Sprint Car Association driver Mark Jones picked up the inaugural win at Columbia Motor Speedway in the first running of the Northwest Sprint Car Invitational.

Running in quarter midgets then transferring to motorcycles and go-karts led Justin Popple to many successes along the way. Taking some time off before returning to sprint car racing in a family-run operation has been enjoyable over the years, he said.

Falling just short in his bid for a second INSCA championship to title winner, Justin Popple, 2007 series champion Tony Berry sees this weekend’s race as a chance for redemption to a strong but brief season.

Some racing enthusiasts are starting to turn their attention towards football and hunting season with many track and series schedules winding down, but WAIT – there is one more big event yet this year! The Northwest Sprint Car Invitational will be this weekend, October 10th, 2009 at Columbia Motor Speedway in Hermiston, Oregon.

The Columbia Motor Speedway, located in Hermiston, Oregon, has a proud tradition of sprint car racing at the facility, but it has been several years since sprint cars have run at the track providing a venue that should prove new and challenging to many of the teams looking to compete.

The Inland Northwest Sprint Car Association gets 2009 underway this Saturday night at Stateline Speedway as the highlight show of the evening.
