Obama's Inauguration

Remember Lincoln’s words

Mr. President,

Congratulations on your historic accomplishment. With the ties you have made between yourself and President Lincoln, please remember his words.

 "You cannot

--help the poor by destroying the rich

--strengthen the weak by weakening the strong

 --bring prosperity by discouraging thrift

--let the wage earner up by putting the wage payer down

--further the brotherhood of man by making class hatred

--build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence

--help people permanently by doing for them what they could do for themselves"

Also, please be compassionate toward the horrors of abortion - not only to the murdered child, but also the severe psychological and physical damage done to the women and men involved. Remember that Margaret Sanger’s goal in setting up abortion clinics was to rid the population of minorities and the poor. As an African American, this should be cause enough to stand against it.

With heartfelt prayers for you and your administration,

 Kirsten Cook
