InCyte Pathology changes its name to InCyte Diagnostics, with new logo

Spokane medical business InCyte Pathology has changed its nameto InCyte Diagnostics, a switch that focuses on the company's medical mission.

It's also added a new corporate logo. The change follows the merger last year between InCyte Pathology and Eastside Pathology, based in King County.

A company release said it will focus on providing reliable, trusted diagnostics services to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.    

InCyte Pathology among magazine’s 100 best companies to work for

Spokane's, InCyte Pathology was named one of Seattle Business magazine’s “100 Best Companies To Work For” in 2011.  

The company was honored during a recent Seattle event. InCyte Pathology, founded in 1957, is a privately held anatomic diagnostic lab service provider.
 
More than 300 companies were nominated.  A panel selected the finalists based on a range of factors.
 
PAML, the large, regionally successful diagnostic lab, is another Spokane firm on the list. The full 100 companies are listed here.
 
InCyte Pathology COO Gary Gemar said, “InCyte is excited to be selected this year.  This is a great honor for our dedicated pathologists and employees that are committed to providing excellent patient care. We value each employee’s service and are pleased to be recognized as one of the best Anatomic Pathology laboratories in the industry.”

Brian Staley wins Spirit of Planetree physician award

Dr. Brian Staley is the winner of this year’s Spirit of Planetree Physician Champion Award, recognizing a physician who champions the Planetree model of patient-centered care and whose actions demonstrate him to be a role model for medical staff members.

Staley is a doctor at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in the Tri-Cities and is a pathologist at InCyte Pathology, in north Spokane. He has a contract with Spokane clinic InCyte Pathology to provide research and consulting. His subspecialty interests include cytology, gynecologic and gastrointestinal pathology.
