The race for governor gets nasty...

"You know, I think I was told by my colleagues `Get ready for things that you couldn't anticipate. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever anticipated anybody suggesting that I am a racist. Nothing could be further from the truth."

--Attorney General Christine Gregoire, now running for governor. She's catching flak for being president of an all-white sorority nearly 40 years ago. Shortly after graduation, she tried to get the sorority to change its policies.
