Good editorial, and good job summarizing the medical science about vaccinations. There is way too much rumor and conspiracy that circulates through email and on the intranets about vaccinations.

Chip I agree with you. As for the squalene there is more here. Actually the Europeans wanted us to put squalene in our vaccine stocks to make it go further so we could give more stock to the world. So far as the editorial says this hasn't happened in US stocks.

In my mind the jury is still out re the linkage of squalene as a casual factor in Gulf War Syndrome. OK here's the conspiracy theory involving the anthrax vaccine. USAMRID and big pharma were doing dosage range studies of squalene in the anthrax vaccine on the US military. It was mandatory. They can't complain. They can't sue because of the Ferris Doctrine. Here's the catch. Too little squalene and a single shot vaccine doesn't develop the immunity. Too much squalene and there's a genetic susceptibility to triggering an autoimmune response which attacks the body much like MS. Squalene is a naturally occurring substance in the body but is sequestered in body tissue and not circulating in the blood where it could trigger a response. There is a tolerance level before the immune system will kick in that allows for squalene released into the bloodstream in accidents causing body tissue injury.

BTW the anthrax vaccine may only work against skin infections. No one really knows if it will provide any protection against weaponized anthrax that is inhaled. The other irony is the Russians made tons of genetically engineered weaponized anthrax that our vaccine probably wouldn't be effective against. Google the name “Ken Alibek” sometime.
