  We hear a lot about gangs in America in Spokane the only real gang is a bunch of high paid public servants. The Spokane police department. Since 1991 they have killed 42 people, many of them innocent. In yesterdays paper we found out they stole 5.4 million from the city, and in a high profile murder case against an officer the city attorney prepped the witnesses for the defense.
  There is no justice in Spokane anymore we have to pack guns to protect ourselves from the police. And granted not all of them are corrupt but since the good ones do nothing to try and make a change they are just as guilty in my book as the others.
  They also just recently busted a medical pot dispensary and arrested the owners even through they had weed medical cards. Sending all their buyers right back to the underworld, smart move bucko.

  Lewis is being a bit harsh and ‘packing a gun’ is not a solution to anything, but more random violence, but the SPD definately is not under good management.

  It is time the people wake up and replace Kirkpatrick and every police chief that fails to bring the ego-centric violent arrogant macho attitude prevalent in so many at the SPD under control.

  Gary, any thoughts on why media is not reporting on the ACORN scandal in Baltimore, and, as I now learn, also happened in DC?

  This is a major story about a group which has received 54 million dollars from taxpayers, and is set to receive up to 8 billion dollars through the stimulus bill; so what could be going on where no one but Fox and CNN have done any reporting at all.

  This is the ACORN which the president once worked for. This the ACORN which has been called on by OBAMA to assist the federal government in performing the census. This is the same ACORN which is supposedly formed to help poor people.

  Why no reportage?

  Do you think this 25 year ol and 20 year old might get a noimination for a Pulitzer? Nah, I don’t think so either.

  You’d think you’d do a simple search before making these wild assertions by now. It’s not like people believe you canvass all media before making these all/never claims.

  Debated whether to put Doug Belcher’s letter into the official MOO thread or just discuss it here. Sometimes, a guy’s last name says a lot about the letter he writes, unfortunately.

  In a far wider context, is Belcher REALLY concerned about health care under Obama facing the certain destruction that he paints such fantastic portraits of in his MORE than 200 word letter? And is it because he saw with his own eyes what gvt did to the free market because of GW’s compassion for the greatly wealthy, the mega corporations and etc. to the extent that the free market went belly up owing to the COMMON MAN getting short shrift or if you prefer, getting the business end of the stick. The common man who after all must have a paycheck to keep the free market in operation.

  If so, then his more on target criticism ought to have been of the last administration. But he prefers to toss his venomous letter at the current one. So, excuse me if I am not overly impressed.
