Update: What’s this truck doing on Antoine Peak?

CONSERVATION FUTURES — Getting a ticket.

That's the answer the hiker wanted to hear after he snapped this photo of an vehicle that had been illegally driven into the Spokane County Conservation Futures land that rises up behind East Valley High School.

The ruts these clowns created will remain as a reminder of their selfishness. They went beyond the locked gates and got stuck on roads that are closed to unauthorized vehicles to protect the area and its wildlife.

But there's some consolation, the hiker reports. They had to pick up the beer cans they littered in the area and the county issued the driver dude a $134 citation.

Hats off to the hiker who took the time to take the photo and make the case so the county could bring some justice to the vandals.

Justice. It would have been nice if the truck had been impounded.

Have you ever noticed how the people who do this kind of thing never leave, say, bottles of Guinness or Rogue or Fat Tire behind?

MrB believes the blue foglights, the quite possibly mismatched and nearly bald front tires simply state:

‘we are Men of Beer and will search near and far for the perfect spot in the woods to motate to in our large-grilled dark colored manly pickup where we will park with our manly diesel engine idling, some old school Mastodon thundering through the factory sound system with the blown front speakers and we will fling many beer cans onto the snow for the dirty hippy tree huggers to pick up and pack out in their free trade third world nation weaved hemp backpacks as we plan to get so obliterated there will likely be at least one awkward moment where one of our meaty, hairy, manly hands lays at rest on the other’s lap for a few seconds too long abruptly ending an EPIC NIGHT OF BEERING in the freaking woods.”
