Spokane is in the center of this satellite image wildfire smoke across Pacific Northwest on Aug. 20, 2015.  Origin point of smoke on the left is the 42,000-acre Wolverine Fire in the Glacier Peak Wilderness area near upper Lake Chelan.  Farther east, the 134,000-acre Chelan, 162,000-acre Okanogan, 110,000-acre Colville Indian Reservation, and 90,000-acre Colville area fires all merge and drift east across Montana and into the Midwest.
