Bass fishing kicks off Mark’s Marine seminar series tonight
FISHING – Two area bass anglers tonight will kick off a six-week series of free localized fishing seminars sponsored by Mark's Marine in Hayden.
Tony McCalmant of the North Idaho Panhandle Bass Club will be joining Jim Grassi, Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame speaker, to share their insights on bass fishing Inland Northwest waters.
All of the seminars, as follows, are set for Thursdays starting at 6:30 p.m. at 14355 N. Government Way:
March 5 – Bass fishing with Tony McCalmant and Jim Grassi.
- McCalmant, a Mark’s Marine Pro Staff, is recognized as one of the top bass fishermen in the Inland Northwest. In 2005, he won the Bass Angler of the Year and Panhandler Bass Angler of the Year in 2010 and again in 2013. He is a 2013 team qualifier for BASS. He is sponsored by various companies and is a regular instructor at sports shows and fishing events. He has assisted with numerous kids’ fishing organizations.
- Grassi, is an author and Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame speaker and head of Let's Go Fishing ministries.
March 12 – Walleye fishing with Greg Koch of Spokane Walleye Club.
March 19 – Salmon fishing on Lake Coeur d’Alene with Fins and Feathers Sport Shop staff.
March 26 – Pike fishing with Brock Morrow.
April 2 – Lake Roosevelt trout fishing with Benita Galland and
Lake Pend Oreille rainbow fishing with Roger Blackstone.
April 9 – Lowrance electronics with Mike Pentony
