Backpackers find slow going in Cabinet Wilderness

HIKING -- 'Tis the season of lower mileage expectations for backpacker's in the mountains of the Inland Northwest.

Tanner Grant figured huckleberry picking into the itinerary last week for a father-son backpacking trip in the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness.

They made time for a little fishing, too.

Mileage isn't everything.
