Free clinics for hunters, water activities for kids at Cabela’s
OUTDOORS -- Programs for hunters and some special water-related activities for kids are being organized for the weekend at Cabela's in Post Falls.
Cabela's Big Game Classic is set for Saturday and Sunday, including free presentations related to the upcoming hunting season. Among the offerings:
- Adventure Hunting with Steve West, celebrity host of The Adventure Series on the Outdoor Channel.
- Field Dressing 101 with Idaho Fish & Game.
- Back Country Elk Hunting with Pro-Staff Sara Lamson
The kids' water-related events are Saturday only, as follows:
10 a.m. -- Pacific Northwest Fish Identification Game.
11:30 a.m. -- Family Boater Safety & Life Jacket Fitting with Kootenai County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol.
Noon -- Find Buried Treasure: Metal Detector Game.
1:30 p.m. -- Kids Fishing Game in the Cabela’s Pool Fishing lessons, kids can catch a brightly colored fish from the pool.
2:30 p.m. -- Water Gun Duck Races See who can squirt their duck across the finish line first!
10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Big Kahuna Slide & Tiki Island Inflatable Obstacle Course.
