North Idaho hiking, paddling trips continue

GROUP TRIPS -- Hiking, paddling and birding in the Panhandle are featured in the 10th annual Summer Adventure Series of group outings led by the Idaho Conservation League.

The 10 excursions kicked off last month.

The hosted outings are free, but space is limited and registration is required.

Sign up at idahoconservation.org or contact the ICL’s Sandpoint office, (208) 265-9565. Trips are scheduled weekly through September.

Trips remaining on the schedule include:

July 30 –Leave No Trace hike to Harrison Lake.

Aug. 7 –Hike/Fish, Trout and Big Fisher lakes.

Aug. 18 –Hike to Fisher Peak.

Aug. 20 – Kayak Pack River (with Idaho Fish and Game biologist).

Aug. 27 – Kayak Clark Fork River Delta (with Idaho Fish and Game biologist)

Sept. 5 – Hike Birding Ridge on the Pend Oreille Divide Trail.

Sept. 17 – Harrison to Beehive Scramble.

Sept. 25 –Wander Sherwood Forest.
