WINTERSPORTS -- The Methow Valley rolled out the white carpet for the 80 some riders attending third annual Northwest Fatbike Winter Meetup in Withrop last weekend.

"We about doubled the attendance from last year," said Dave Nelson, a fat-tired biking enthusiast from Spokane. He said a bachelorette party on fatbikes from Wenatchee added notable color to the riding festivities.

The cyclists enjoyed riding day an night, mostly on single-track trails groomed in the Methow's abundance of fresh powdery snow.

Nelson captured some of the fun in this short video.
