TRAILS -- Sunday's outdoors feature on the region's rail trails might someday be expanded with the possible addition of a route that would be ideally located to serve the Washington State University community.

The state-owned Colfax-Albion-Pullman Rail Corridor, running 19 miles between Colfax and Pullman is slated for abandonment. Groups are scoping out the possibilities of rail banking the right of way for a potential trail.

Watch for public meetings to be scheduled later this summer.
