Wildfires prompt closure of Sandpoint area roads, trails

FORESTS -- Because of wildfires and firefighting activity that have extended to expand this week, the Idaho Panhandle National Forests has issued temporary road and trail closures on the Sandpoint Ranger District including Forest Service Road 275 north of the Huckleberry Campground, Road 1091 and Road 419 north of the Washout.

Also closed are Forest Service Trails 55, 57 and 526, and Trail 120 north of Trestle Peak. 

Colville National Forest ongoing closures include areas near Sullivan Lake.
