Snow, flowers, Oh my! Transition time in the great outdoors

SEASONS -- This is an exciting time outdoors. Skiers are still finding good snow in the mountains and lowlanders are checking clearing trails and watching as wildflowers sprout and light up the winter-weary drabness.

Wolves and coyotes are denning. Bears are soon to emerge from dens. Wild turkeys are whooping up their longings for whoopie.

Waterfowl are migrating. Bluebirds are arriving and scoping out territories. Steelhead are finishing their run to spawn. Skwala stoneflies are whetting the appetites of trout.

That's a mere sampling.   Go check it out!
