PUBLIC LANDS -- The very wet landscape is still unstable out there, folks.  Here's another report of a landslide that's blocking public access.

The Idaho Panhandle National Forests has issued a temporary road closure on National Forest System Road #752 (Prospector Creek Road) in Shoshone County for public health and safety due to a landslide on the downhill side of the road.

The slide is located at milepost 6. Prospector Creek Road is 12.5 miles west of Avery, Idaho off the St. Joe River Road (Forest Highway 50).  For information specific to this closure, please contact the St. Joe Ranger District at (208) 245-4517.

The Idaho Panhandle National Forests advises forest users to be watchful for falling debris, road washouts, and changing road restrictions to ensure safe travels.  For the latest information, or to report new road damage, please contact the applicable ranger station.  More information on road conditions and closures is on the IPNF website.
