Why do we live here? Bagging a three-fer day on bike, kayak, skis

MULTI-SPORTS -- Doug Elledge, the Nordic Center manager at 49 Degrees North ski area, demonstrated on Friday why northeastern Washington is such a great place to live of you love the outdoors.

"It was my triple crown of human powered travel day enjoying my three favorite outdoor activities in one day," he said.

"I must have been nomadic in a previous lifetime. Bike, paddle and ski. Lake Roosevelt and Sherman Pass."
