Wooden canoes program tonight by author of ‘This Old Canoe’

PADDLING – Mike Elliott, author of “This Old Canoe: How To Restore Your Wood-Canvas Canoe,” will present a free program on wooden canoes, 7 p.m., tonight, Oct. 23, at Mountain Gear Corporate Headquarters, 6021 E. Mansfield in Spokane Valley, sponsored by the Spokane Canoe & Kayak Club.

Tonight's program is titled, "Canoe Connections: Wooden Canoes and Their People." Elliott describes it as being about "ties that bind and the restorations that bring them back together."

Mike will also sell and sign copies of his book, $25. Cash preferred.
