Lewsiton youth pheasant hunting clinic Oct. 7

HUNTING -- The annual youth pheasant clinic for hosted by Idaho Department of Fish and Game's regional office in Lewiston is set for Oct. 7 near Genesee. 

This event is open to kids ages 10-16 that have passed hunter education and possess a 2017 hunting license.

Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. in Genesee for shooting practice and an upland bird biology and identification lesson. 

Lunch will be served at noon and then youngsters will hunt for pheasants behind trained bird dogs. 

Clinic sponsors include Flying B Ranch, Pheasants Forever, Snake River Gun Dog and Sportsmen’s Association, Genesee Trap and Skeet Association and Frank Hill.
