Oops! Police chief cited for speeding

Even the city’s top cop can have a lead foot.

Spokane Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick was ticked for speeding on Saturday as she hunted for a picnic spot along the Spokane River.

The chief was cited for driving 43 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 2900 block of Upriver Drive by Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Thurman.
That’s a $154 fine.

Kirkpatrick apologized for the mishap in an interview with KHQ news. Check that out here.

I posted the ticket, but policy prevents me from redacting personal information, so that didn’t work out.

That is really funny, what was wrong with the sheriff cant he spot a unmarked police car? I bet he was the butt of a bunch of jokes at work today. Who wants to bet he is the first one laid off due to budget cuts?

Good for him, everyone should obey the speed limits i do and always have a pile of cars riding on my bumper.

Good job of not redacting her personal information off the ticket. and scanning it sideways.

Is steve Smith now back working in the newsroom?
