Bar stabbing may be gang related

Here's Sara Leaming's report:

The owner of a downtown Spokane night club says his employees stopped a gang “hit” outside of his business early Wednesday night, during which two men were sent to the hospital with minor stab wounds.

Jordan Troutt, the owner of Uno Supper Club and Lounge, said in a press release that club bouncers intervened after a man walking by his club at 515 W. Sprague Ave. was attacked by a group who later identified themselves as members of a Crip street gang set.

Spokane police confirmed the Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the incident.

The melee began just after 12:30 a.m., when a crowd loitering in a parking lot across the street attacked a 22-year-old man walking in front of Club Uno. None involved were patrons of the club.

Bouncers chased and held at least them until police arrived. Arrested were John D. Proctor, 24, Rakee D. Cage, 22, and Adam Doe, 18, police said. The three remain in the Spokane County Jail.

Anyone with information about the stabbings is asked to call Crime Check at (509)456-2233.
