Suspect identified in pizza place robbery

A 24-year-old man has been identified as a suspect in a Spokane pizza place robbery last month.

Justin J. Ellery is accused of handing a note demanding cash and stating he had a gun to a woman working at Papa John’s Pizza, 920 W. Indiana, at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 29, according to the Spokane Police Department.

Tips led detectives to issue an arrest warrant for Ellery on one count of first-degree robbery, police said today. He’d already been wanted by Crime Stoppers on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Information leading to his arrest could qualify for a $50 reward, police said. Tipsters should call Crime Stoppers at (509) 327-5111.
