Child rapist living as transient in Spokane

A child rapist who recently served nine months in jail for violating his probation is now living as a transient in Spokane County.

Donald A. Radecker, 39, served 140 months in prison after being convicted in 1995 of raping a 5-year-girl in Ferry County.

He's lived in Spokane before but returned to jail for nine months beginning in September. He's being supervised by the Washington Department of Corrections.

Radecker is a level 3 sex offender, the group considered most likely to reoffend.

He is not wanted by law enforcement, but the Spokane County Sheriff's Office wants people to be aware of his presence.
