Smash-grab burglar targets cigs in Valley

Police are looking for tips on a smash-and-grab cigarette burglary that damaged a Spokane Valley convenience store early today.

A burglar smashed glass from a front window at the the Broadway Mini Mart, 10304 E. Broadway Ave., early today and stole cigarette packs. 
 
An alarm sounded a few minutes after midnight; police arrived to find the smashed out window, then viewed a surveillance video that showed the burglary umping onto the counter and grabbing the smokes from a display rack.
 
A police dog searched the area but came up empty. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
