A convicted Spokane Valley drug dealer released from prison in 2008 remains in the Shoshone County Jail after crashing his car on Interstate 90 in Idaho last week.
Lloyd J. Brown, 52, is jailed on $150,000 bond for aggravated driving under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, trafficking of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brown was driving east on I-90 in a 1996 Ford Taurus last Wednesday when he failed to make it around a curve to the right, according to Idaho State Police. He crashed into a median about 1 p.m. before going over a metal guard rail and vaulting over 3rd Avenue in Osburn. The Taurus rolled and came to rest below I-90.
Brown and his 21-year-old passenger, Adrianna N. Maldonado-Fisher, also of Spokane Valley, were treated at Shoshone Medical Center before Brown was booked into jail.
Brown was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2002 for two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine. He was released in 2008 and is not on probation, according to the Department of Corrections.
In 2001, deputies were splashed with dangerous chemicals when Brown tried to flush substances down a toilet during a raid. The deputies were taken to a nearby fire station for decontamination.
