3+ years for robber arrested 11 months later

An armed robber arrested in Montana in February is back behind bars after recently being convicted of a knife-point holdup at a Spokane store more than two years ago.

Joshua T. Bodey, 37, is in jail awaiting transport to a state prison after a jury convicted him last week of first-degree robbery for a February 2008 heist at 50% Off Card Shop on East Sprague.

Bodey got away from police that night but was charged with robbery in December 2008. U.S. Marshals and Billings police arrested him in Red Lodge, Mont., in January 2009.

He posted $10,000 after about a week but returned to jail after his conviction Wednesday.

He was sentenced Thursday to 40 months in prison with credit given for 27 days served in jail.
