Five people were cited for indecent exposure during an undercover police investigation at a Spokane Valley porn store Tuesday.
Undercover detectives walked through the Hollywood Erotic Boutique in the 9600 block of East Sprague Avenue and observed five acts of indecent exposure, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives also checked for criminal activity at the boutique in May 2009 and May 2011. Seven violations were reported during those visits.
The five people identified Tuesday were cited for indecent exposure and released at the scene. Their names have not been released.
Detectives checked other adult stores in the area, but no other violations were reported.
A Post Falls man is accused of masturbating in the Spokane Valley Mall parking lot Sunday afternoon.
Brian J. Jeffries, 25, was booked into jail on a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure after witnesses reported him to mall security about 3:20 p.m. and he fled in his Toyota pickup, police said.
Police traced the pickup to a man named Jeffries, and witnesses said the masturbator was wearing a shirt “embroidered with the name of a national retailer,” according to a news release.
Police showed an image from mall security video to the store manager, who identified the man as Jeffries. Jeffries was arrested a few minutes later when he arrived to begin his shift.
Police have not released the name of the business.
Jeffries is the second Idaho man to be accused of masturbating in a Spokane Valley business parking lot in five days.

Matt Alan Lambert's public defender told a judge that today when asking for Lambert to be released from jail on his own recognizance or on a low bond. Spokane County Superior Court Judge Michael Price imposed a $5,000 bond. Prosecutors had requested $15,000.
Lambert, 50, has four misdemeanor convictions from more than 15 years ago but no felonies. He's accused of masturbating in his 1992 Ford Aerostat minivan at Dagny's Coffee Co., 12900 E. Trent Ave., Wednesday while videotaping the barista, police say.
Spokane Valley police officers were staking out the stand after employees complained of a customer masturbating in his car on at least two occasions.
Lambert, who lives in Rathdrum with his wife and children, admitted he'd videotaped the barista on Monday and Wednesday, police said.
Silverwood spokeswoman Nancy DiGiammarco did not immediately know Lambert's employment status with the theme park late Thursday afternoon.

A Florida man masturbated during a flight from Spokane to Denver last week, a criminal charge alleges.
Two 18-year-old passengers told an FBI agent that they saw Kyle Devin Pearce, 25, masturbating while on board United Airlines Flight 340 on May 19.
One witness said he was sitting behind Pearce when he saw what he was doing and “hit him with my book in the arm, which caused him to stop and leave to the bathroom. After a while he returned,” according to an affidavit. Both witnesses said Pearce's penis was visible.
Pearce was to connect to an Orlando-bound flight but was instead arrested at the airport and appeared before a federal judge in Denver. He posted $25,000 bond Tuesday.
Pearce is charged with crimes aboard aircraft, which carries a maximum 90 days in jail, $5,000 fine and one year probation.
The girlfriend of a Spokane Valley man accused of trying to lure teenage girls while masturbating in his car says he’s wrongly accused.
“I know 100 percent for a fact he didn’t do those things,” Marina Corbin told The Spokesman-Review. “I’m with him everyday.”
Michael J. McBride, 28, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two counts of indecent exposure and one count of luring. He was arrested Oct. 6 after police aid two of three alleged victims identified him from a photo montage. Corbin said McBride plans to take the case to trial and will obtain phone records and witness statement to prove his innocence.
Police, however, say the case against McBride is solid. It began Sept. 22 when a 13-year-old girl said a man who was masturbating in his car asked if she wanted a ride home.
Another 13-year-old girl reported a similar incident Sept. 24, then another girl reported an incident that occurred Sept. 12. Detectives said they saw McBride in the area after a 911 caller reported a man trying to get a 14-year-old into his car. A police news release said McBride said he’d dropped off a student whom he couldn’t name, but Corbin said she knows the man McBride dropped off and said he’s willing to talk to police.
Police said a third victim who didn’t identify McBride in a photo montage accurately described his white Subaru, but Corbin said McBride’s Subaru is actually grey.
He remains in Spokane County Jail on $50,000 bond.
