Thinking about a 30-year-old movie
Was watching a bit of "The Natural."
Have lost count of the number of times I have spent a few minutes with part of that 1984 film.
I enjoy it, obviously. It features my favorite Wilford Brimley performance -- yes, even incuding "China Syndrome." But I always have a question.
What are the chances the injuries right fielder Bump Bailey sustained when running through that flimsy outfield fence would have been fatal?
But as they used to say on "MST3K," it's just a show -- and a fantasy-laced one, at that. I should really just relax.
