The Slice

Remembering a wedding rehearsal

"Funny you should mention 'The Princess Bride' in your wedding season column," wrote Debbie Miller.

At her wedding rehearsal on the campus of the University of Idaho, the judge who would preside over the ceremony was late. So everyone else decided to at least familiarize themselves with where they were supposed to stand.

The best man's son stood in for the judge.

There was a moment of silence as no one was quite sure what to do next.

Then the young man standing in the judge's place said "Mawwage..."

"Those of us familiar with the movie busted up."
