The Slice

Ever hide something so well you forgot about it?

To allow for a room to be painted, my wife and I relocated hundreds of books on Sunday.

During this process, I found a couple of credit cards. They were behind some nonfiction on a high shelf.

Both appeared to have been activated. Both had expired in 2010.

I don't want to judge before all the facts are in, but it would seem my security system came up somewhat short of perfection.

Of course, they did not get stolen. So maybe I should not be too hard on myself.
