The time to make sure that your zipper is up is before you exit the restroom, of course.

But sometimes you are already back out in a public area when you hear the haunting refrain "Did I or didn't I?"

Then the challenge becomes this: Can you quickly tap your zipper to confirm that everything is as it should be and do so in a subtle way?

Or do you fear you come off as some street corner lout braying "Hey, I got your zipper check right here, pal."

If you worry that you are failing to pull it off without calling attention to yourself, there's one thing you can do.

Go back to the restroom and start over.
