Kitchen sounds that get pets running
Got an email from Karen Botker in Hayden.
"Our cat comes running into the kitchen at the sound of the can opener, but not for the reason you might think. She only comes down on Sunday mornings, when I am opening the can of pumpkin to use in my pumpkin pancakes. Our vet recommended pumpkin puree for our older cat years ago to combat constant urinary tract infections. It worked, and our younger cat still remembers. She loves a tsp fresh out of the can.
"Now if I could only get her to eat some of the remaining pumpkin cold from the fridge. Seems Spanky Pookie Bear doesn't like leftovers."
