The Slice

Resenting people with power

Some of us have seen this before.

Power gets knocked out for much of the Spokane area. But a few neighborhoods here and there remain unaffected.

The residents of these pockets of power try to be gracious about it. They empathize. They don't gloat.

But after a while, they start to take on a certain look. It's called "Having slept in a warm home and taking a shower."

Do not hate them. It's beneath you.

Besides, next time you could be the one who doesn't lose power.
