“Socialist Review” up to usual tricks

This is the time of year when it becomes a challenge for SR-haters to plausibly refer to the newspaper as the "Socialist Review."

Yes, it is political endorsement season.

What possible reason would the newspaper have for continuing this tradition?

A) Help guide voters who pay only casual attention to local campaigns. B) Fill supporters of not-endorsed candidates with a terrible resolve to get out the vote. C) Remind voters that we are The Spokesman-Review and they are mere peasants. D) There might be someone out there who is still not aware that the paper doesn't like public-sector unions. E) Force certain junior members of the editorial board to gaze out the window and sigh an existential sigh. F) Generate angry online comments from readers who aren't even registered to vote and/or do not live in the jurisdiction being considered. G) If you own a newspaper, it is your right and responsibility to say what you think. H) Our belief that an eager electorate anxiously awaits its instructions. I) Newspapers have always done this. J) Other.
