The Slice

Paul’s People, No. 44

Once again I am standing too close to my phone camera.
Once again I am standing too close to my phone camera.

This guy standing next to me is my friend Hank Greer.

He has been the source of some excellent column fodder over the years, for which I owe him.

We both grew up in military families. And we share an interest in bicycling. (Can you see our bikes parked back there behind us in front of the Review Tower?)

When people complain about Spokane, they almost invariably describe a bunch of traits and attitudes that are the opposite of Hank's outlook.

I'm proud to know him.
