The Slice

Just wondering

When individuals recruited from out of state for upper-tier jobs in Spokane turn down the offer after coming for a visit, what's usually the reason (assuming it's not anything about the position or compensation package)?

A) Fear that camping is mandatory. B) Sensed a certain cultish "Stepfordness" about Spokane. C) Suspicion that there's a secret handshake you don't learn until you have been here 25 years. D) They simply like it better where they are. E) Don't want to be called an "outside agitator." F) Concerned about average income/years of education here. G) Other.
