The Slice

The voters you used to know

It's common for those who have lived in other states to root for distant sports teams.

Sometimes, there's even a little bragging.

But that's nothing compared to what happens when a national election draws near.

If you approve of the way voters typically cast their ballots back in your old home state, you might be apt to note that out loud on occasion. Or every day.

Of course, if the people back where you used to live typically support embarrassing candidates, you might decide not to bring that up.

And if you have lived in several states before moving to the Inland Northwest, I suppose you get to choose which part of your geo-past to trumpet.

But you might as well face it. For better or worse, you live here now.
