The Slice

Lacing up for Ice Palace’s final season

Home ice.
Home ice.

Walked over to Riverfront Park to purchase my season pass for the Ice Palace.

One last time.

Next fall, the park will be different.

I try to be open to the possibility that change can be good. Maybe a skating ribbon will be fabulous. We'll see.

Right now, those hoping to skate at the open-air rink have more immediate concerns. The Ice Palace is supposed to open its season tomorrow. But I wouldn't count on it.

It's too warm.

Still, maybe they can pull it off. If they do, I'll be there.
