St. Patrick’s Day bruises

It's probably not true.

But for the longest time, I have believed that certain adults still have bruises on their upper arms where fourth-grade classmates pinched them decades ago. That punishment was meted out, of course, for the crime of not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day.

Yes, that sounds ridiculous. How could a bruise last that long?

Let me answer with another question. Did you know certain grade school girls had hands like lobster claws?
