Now should we be glad the veep debate is elsewhere?

John McCain’s call for a delay in the first debate no doubt has debate commission staff scrambling down at the University of Mississippi.

Whether it goes on as scheduled, gets postponed or cancelled, it does show the risk to being a debate host.

Just think how fast everyone would be moving in Spokane right now, had Washington State University accepted hosting the vice presidential debate here.

Because of the top guys don’t debate, the No. 2 folks probably don’t debate, either. And everyone involved would have a big pucker factor right now.
