    It is indeed quite sad…

You’re not surprised are you Rick and Bart? Spokane is a very conservative place. R-71 failed in 32 of 39 counties across Wash St. The usual liberal 7 counties in the West are carrying R-71 as of 6 pm west coast time. This is a conservative state controlled by the Westside..it’s been like this for quite some time. My parents voted for it.

Good News…..the West side carries us again!!

Bad News….the West side carries us again.

“Conservative” states also opposed suffrage and the civil right movement. When will we ever learn?

People tend to forget, this is a “popular vote” NOT a county by county vote.

ALL those “yes” votes in Spokane county & from other counties (who voted “no”), simply added to the overall majority.

Indeed, this measure would not have passed had it not been for the 1/3 of people from eastern washington who voted yes.

Actually was closer to 40 Percent… 52 K Plus people in Spokane County voted for the referendum…. and given that there are likely more Republicans than Democrats, i’d venture there were some cross over votes… john
