Coming today: Order from gov, cuts from legislators?

OLYMPIA — Gov. Chris Gregoire is announcing an executive order to “enhance accountability” on state contracts at noon.

By the end of the day, legislative leaders from the two parties in the two houses are supposed to be reporting their proposals for cutting the state budget to keep it from going in the red by the end of the fiscal year.

DTK, as reporters used to write on bulletins in the days of typewriters and paper, which meant “details to come.”
