OLYMPIA -- Expect plenty of votes in both chambers, and possibly late nights early in the week, as legislators face a 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline to get policy bills out of their "house of origin".

The House is tackling some mental health and health care bills today, with the Sheena and Chris Henderson Bill on suicide prevention the first one on the docket. It passed 93-5.

The Senate is likely to take up its version of oil transportation safety at some point this week. Senators spent the morning in caucus, but are expected to crank up the voting this afternoon.

It's a day of white coats and tiaras, with students from the Washington State University's Pharmacy School lobbying legisltoars and candidates for the Mrs. Washington crown making the rounds.

And the cherry blossoms are out and the daffodils up around the Capitol.
