Trump coming to Everett Tuesday. Maybe.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to hold a rally in Everett Tuesday.

Colleague Jerry Cornfield of the Everett Herald quotes campaign and state Republican Party sources as saying the rally is tentatively scheduled for the Xfinity Arena in the Snohomish County city after the GOP nominee holds a fund-raiser in Bellevue. The Trump campaign is refusing to confirm that until it has "everything secured."

Cornfield quotes state Sen. Kirk Pearson, R-Monroe, who  has been active in the Washington campaign as saying "the Trump train is coming through Everett."

Trump made campaign appearances in Washington in May ahead of the state's presidential primary, and at that time predicted he would carry the state in the fall election.  State Republican Party Chairman Susan Hutchison has said Snohomish County is the key to turning Washington from Democratic blue to Republican red.

But a spokesman for the Trump campaign refused to confirm or deny the report.

"When we have everything secured, we will make an announcement," he said.

When will that be?

"Coming soon."

Today?

"Soon."
