WaLeg Day 10: Voting rights and fantasy sports

OLYMPIA -- House Democrats had talked of debating an extension of the "levy cliff", the scheduled drop in taxing authority for school districts, but the flu is going around here and some folks can't answer the bell.

Democratic leaders said that floor vote is off until Friday at the earliest, and possibly longer, depending on recovery times. 

In the meantime, lawmakers once again have early morning to late afternoon hearings, with a mid-morning break for caucuses. Among the bills up for public discussion are a pair of Voting Rights proposals in the morning, and one in the afternoon that would declare fantasy sports a game of skill, which would exempt it from being restricted as gambling.
