Spokane Valley

Saturday's highlights

I came in this afternoon to find an email inbox bursting with accident reports and pleas from local law enforcement agencies for drivers to slow down and be careful. It looks like it's going to get downright nasty tonight, so everyone drive slowly out there. I'm already hearing accidents and slide-off's on the scanner.

Now for the highlights from Saturday's Valley Voice. I took a look at why the City of Spokane Valley is doing so well financially when other cities are hurting. Correspondent Steve Christilaw took a look at the East Valley football team's journey to the playoffs. There were more discussions about the city budget in Liberty Lake and reporter Lisa Leinberger wrote about the annual Thanksgiving dinner at Barker High School.
